At ACMHS, we look at casework from a voluntary organization perspective, but all our caseworkers are qualified either within the health profession or have a social work background. This gives us the added advantage of understanding the workings of the statutory agencies of health and social services who come into contact with our members.

Areas of concentration within casework include:- |

| 1 | Supportive counselling for service users, carers and families. |
| 2 | Assessments of clients. |
| 3 | Hospital visits. |
| 4 | Information/advice regarding Mental Health Act, medication and diagnosis |
| 5 | Work with people involved with the Criminal Justice System at all stages, Police, Probation, Court and Prison. |
